Scripture: Matthew 7:24 KJV
‘Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: ’
Beautiful buildings will always cost you something. It’s one thing to talk about wanting to own a home, a Business or whatever your desire may be.
The end results are it takes time and hard work to get anything that is of value. For instance, you want to know how that couple married for 50 plus years are always successful in their finance, etc.
Hard work mixed with the anointed of God makes you work much smarter. But then you asked the question of what this has to do with the theme scripture above. Well, the same concept you have in the physical requires for the spiritual.
It’s one thing to hear a good sermon and rejoice for such a profound message. But the real question is what did the message do for you? You can be a “Hearer Christian” but not a “Doer Christian” and that’s a serious problem.
The storm will come but the bible makes it clear that the only one who will be able to withstand against such storm is the person who builds their house upon a rock. The rock that I am talking about is the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus was a perfect example of how we must live our Christian faith in a world that has been falling and continue to fall. The moment you speak the truth people treat you as if you are an evil person. The flip side of the coin is you speak evil and then you get a green signal to do evil and not only that you get rewards for it.
Hear what the bible says: ‘Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. ‘ Romans 1:24-25 KJV. Amen.
I’m here to tell you, continue to stand for the WORD of God. Speak the truth in and out of season. Read: ‘ Herald and preach the Word! Keep your sense of urgency [stand by, be at hand and ready], whether the opportunity seems to be favorable or unfavorable. [Whether it is convenient or inconvenient, whether it is welcome or unwelcome, you as preacher of the Word are to show people in what way their lives are wrong.] And convince them, rebuking and correcting, warning and urging and encouraging them, being unflagging and inexhaustible in patience and teaching.’ 2 Timothy 4:2 AMPC.
Praise-Break: Gloryyyyyyyy! Thank you, Jesus! What a word! When you stand on the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ from Genesis to Revelation nothing can stop you. You will be able to overcome this world. Read: ‘For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. ‘ 1 John 5:4 KJV.
Do what the Lord Jesus called you to do and stand for righteousness at all costs. Only if you want your house to be built upon the rock!
Remain Prayerful and Jesus will carry you through!
Shalom + Love
