Guard Your Mind

Scripture: Isaiah 26:3 KJV
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

The mind is very powerful and will do just about anything you tell it to do. Before we carry out any task, we first think about it and then we carry out the very thoughts that come to our minds.

This can be good, and this can be VERY dangerous if the right information is not planted. Think about a Pilot on a plane; if he doesn’t do a good job flying that plane, hundreds of lives could be in danger.

Likewise, your mind is the Pilot for your body. Therefore, your body receives instructions from the mind. That is why thinking a negative thought doesn’t mean you’ve sinned. You see, the body has to lust after what was thought of and then act upon that lust, and then lust, once in action bringeth forth sin (see

The mind is so powerful, I mean POWERFUL; that means if we feed it with the right information, we can achieve great results. Praise-Break: Hallelujah! Glory be to God!!!

The question is: What are you feeding your mind?

The mind can be likened to a beautiful garden with weeds (negative thoughts) constantly trying to choke the beautiful flowers (positive thoughts) and if you don’t get rid of the weeds your garden will be destroyed. However, if you do treat your garden with care, that is, taking out the weeds, you will be in awe each time you look at it.

Hear what Paul says in the book of Romans 7:27: I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God. Amen. Also take a look at this verse: Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. Philippians 2:5 KJV

Which mind was in Christ Jesus? Ans. the mind of God.

I must point out to you, that there is a distinction between the mind of God and the mind of man. The mind of man tends to think carnally or based on what can be seen in this physical world while God’s thoughts are divine i.e. far above what we can think or imagine. The Lord said “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. Isaiah 55:8 KJV. Amen.

Now that we have an understanding regarding God’s thoughts from man's thoughts, we must train ourselves to think like how God thinks. God thinks like his word. In fact, the very word is God (see St John 1:1) and he magnifies his word above all his name (see Psalm 138:2 ). Therefore, we must study and meditate on God’s word so we can learn his ways. Oh yes! there’s no other way around it.

Now, we must renew our minds by taking action (weeding out the garden) getting rid of the junk and fill it with godly words/thoughts.

On the other hand, if we don’t get rid of the weeds (negative thoughts) we can’t have peace. Oh no! We can never have the peace mentioned in Isaiah 26:3. I’m not talking about a man-made peace, whereby this minute you are happy and the next minute you are acting insane. I’m talking perfect peace that surpasses all human understanding. Read: And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 Amen.

Right now, with social media and the news constantly bombarding our minds with information about “the virus” it “HARD” for this world to be in peace. ONLY those who have trained their mind to constantly meditate on the word of God will embrace this peace that I am talking about.

I have great NEWS for you. It’s not too late to surrender all to the Lord Jesus Christ. ONLY if you want to embrace this permanent peace that I am talking about. Please don’t delay or think you need to make things right before you accept a HOLY God to live inside of your heart. Oh no, no, it doesn’t work that way.

He will come and help you clean out your closet and experience life at a whole new level.

KEEP YOUR MIND ON THE WORD OF GOD AN INEVITABLY THE WEEDS OF LIFE WON’T ENTER.

Remain Prayerful and Jesus will carry you through!
